Our Experience Participating in Nonviolent Civil Disobedience

11 a.m., July 12, 2026

Join us this Sunday, either in person or online, as we discuss Our Experience Participating in Nonviolent Civil Disobedience.
Is marching against the state regime waving signs enough of a response to attacks on democracy and the rule of law?
In person, Mitch Diamond and Ginny Gelczis discuss their anti-war and nonviolent civil disobedient activism that began with their second date.
They describe how Nonviolent Civil Disobedience (NVCD) works,
what they experienced when they risked arrest
(and were arrested), and the value of their actions and NVCD in general.
Following the live lecture, you can ask questions and add short responses.

Diamond received a BA in biology with a focus on behavioral and evolutionary biology. He’s given talks to many of the atheist and freethinker groups in Northern California and has appeared on podcasts including The Atheist Experience with Tracie Harris.
