{"id":9242,"date":"2017-04-22T08:46:05","date_gmt":"2017-04-22T08:46:05","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.humanists.org\/blog\/?p=9242"},"modified":"2017-05-29T07:28:32","modified_gmt":"2017-05-29T07:28:32","slug":"2017-05-28","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.humanists.org\/blog\/2017-05-28\/","title":{"rendered":"Goals of Veterans for Peace"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3><strong>Phillip Pflager<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><strong>May 28, 2017<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Mr. Pflager will speak about the goal of members of Veterans for Peace to serve the cause of world peace, and their pledge to use non-violent means to achieve these goals.<\/p>\n<p>Phillip Pflager is currently Chapter Contact for \u201cSouth Bay\/Peninsula\u201d chapter of Veterans for Peace; a community partner of the San Jose Peace and Justice Center. Mr. Pflager enlisted into the Air Force in 1961, was sent to Vietnam and Thailand in 1964 and was discharged late in 1965. He retired from an electronics career in 2008 and resides in his home in Cupertino where he has lived since 1953. <\/p>\n<p>After the Forum, please join us for a lunch at 12:30pm.
