11 a.m., February 28, 2021<\/strong><\/p>\n At this Sunday\u2019s Humanist Forum, Gene Nelson will discuss \u201cThe Shutdown of the Diablo Canyon Nuclear Power Plant\u201d.<\/p>\n In the wake of the Fukushima Daiichi disaster, PG&E announced that it would not renew the licenses for the plant. In 2018 the California Public Utilities Commission approved the shutdown scheduled for 2024-2025.<\/p>\n Gene Nelson will present the case for reversing this decision. Gene is the Government Liaison of Californians for Green Nuclear Power.
