\"aa19AtitiClass-700\"<\/a>\"aa03Atiti&Zenabu\"These pictures, dated November, 2007, were sent from Larabanga by Atiti, the director of the Larabanga Kids Development Project.<\/p>\n

In the large village that contains the nearest hospital, about 5 miles from Larabanga on a dirt road, there is a brand new Internet Caf\u00e9. Atiti asked us for our email address, and shortly after we arrived home, he wrote to us via email. We have been corresponding ever since<\/p>\n

\"aa03Atiti&Zenabu-500\"<\/a>Some of the publicity material that Atiti had created needed to be re-typed and made more presentable. Catherine did that, and sent the finished product to Atiti, along with copies of the pictures that we took and some presentation folders that he could use when he talks to tourists.<\/p>\n

\"aa08rotcrL-300\"<\/a>Then one day, Atiti wrote and said that in order to remain in business, the school had to get a \u201csyllabus\u201d and he did not know how he was going to pay for it. We had made a donation to the school while we were there, and we decided to make another donation. These pictures were taken on the day that the syllabus arrived.<\/p>\n

\"aa06rotcrL-600\"<\/a>There is one little girl whose picture you will perhaps notice. Her name is Zenabu. We became very attached to Zenabu. Our son Tom and his wife Saundra have been trying to adopt her for several years now. Adoptions from Ghana are very difficult, and so far it has not been possible. We had Zenabu with us during almost all of our stay in Ghana. Knowing how attached we are to her, Atiti featured her in several of these pictures.<\/p>\n
