Lupercalia, the Festival of Love
Lupercalia was the Roman fertility festival held in February.
We’ve expanded the focus from fertility to love in general.
We celebrate Lupercalia with a pagan attitude and sharing of food (this is a potluck).
Bring flowers, and a romantic attitude!
We wear red, the Roman luckiest color and that of modern Valentines Day,
make ivy and flower wreaths, and generally have a good time.
We will make flower barques and float them on the pool.
