The Social Action Group of the Humanist Community exists to put Humanist values into action. Our ongoing areas of activity:
- ProChoice: This is not a subgroup of the Humanist Community, but an independent organization which we strongly support. Meetings are usually on the 2nd or the 3rd Wednesday evening in San José. . . . ProChoice website
- Clinic Defense: We meet on the 4th Saturday at Planned Parenthood on the Alameda in San José to assist in non-confrontational defense of the clinic against anti-abortion picketers who would like the clinic closed.
